Heartline Group Week 4

CalendarWe are on Week 4 of Heartline teams this summer.  This is the 3rd week of Life Tree teams.  The people staying are from all parts of the country.  The last couple groups have picked out that we are from the northern states.  It seems that people start making comments right after I say the word “bag”.  They will repeat the word with a smile and say, Where are you from? 🙂 We then proceed to have a little fun arguing about who said what words right/wrong 🙂

This week…

The 33 person team consists mostly of High School students with some adults.  Last night we had a worship service with John speaking.  He did a great job sharing the love of Christ with these students and a call to those that want to dig deeper into the Lord this week.  Troy and I played worship.  We had one small glitch… Before we started we found out our old project stopped working.  Troy dug up some old sheets and worship music we could hand out to people.  After worship, Evan was able to get it up and running again… it continues to live 😀

Been thinking about this verse recently.  Thought I would share the Message version with you:

Why would you ever complain, Israel, saying,
God has lost track of me.
He doesn’t care what happens to me?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?
God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.
He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.
