I have been reading John’s blog who is working full time with Heartline Ministries down in Haiti.  He was mentioning the verse,

Proverbs 3:5,6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,  And He shall direct your paths.

Melissa and I have been continuing to take time and listen to God in the decisions we are making.  It struck me this evening that when we listen to God that we should concentrate on fully hearing him *without* our own understanding.  How many times have we put trust in our own ways and found them to crumble.  It is when we put our faith, trust, and self before him that pieces start to fall into the right places.

He gives us an awesome promise.  He says that if we acknowledge him and he will direct us.
