One House
Thank you for being involved in, coming along side, and joining in this journey and mission. Since you and I are new to Heartline, I wanted to take a moment and share a story written by Beth McHoul. Who is Beth? Beth and John have lived in Haiti for 22 years. They are truly the heart of Heartline. This story takes…

Blinding Flash of Reality
Ever since moving to Haiti, we have noticed that our Haitian staff has been eating rice, beans, and a small chicken drumstick for lunch every day. Literally every day. They are very kind and offer to make extra for us whenever we want it. Sometimes we say yes, and it is actually pretty tasty. But…

First Drops of Water From Well
The well pump is now installed and the first water has been pumped from the well! This is a huge blessing for the community and for Heartline. Why Heartline? New Friends
I wanted to thank all of you who have been praying for our time here in Haiti. Especially those of you who have been praying specifically for us to make new friends and build relationships. Water is Found
Water was found! This is near the five Heartline houses that were built in an area now being called “Jerusalem 7”. Before this well was drilled by Living Water the community would need to walk over a mile away for a well. This will be a huge help for this community.

Feed My Starving Children
Food straight from the Feed My Starving Children factory in Minnesota! This could be the most nutritious meal they will have during the week. I had recently volunteered with a group from PTC to pack food at Feed My Starving Children. I enjoyed seeing the other end where the food is delivered. You will notice…

Running in Haiti
As many of you know, Ryan and I are big into running, and are used to going about four times per week. Since arriving here, we have been busy learning the ropes at the guesthouse, adjusting to the heat, and settling in. Today was our first chance to try out running in Haiti. If you have…

Fresh Water
Fresh water. I never thought of it as a privilege. I always thought it was something that we all just had. Doesn’t everyone have access to fresh water? It’s easy to get, right? Let’s just say that we passed over a river today that makes the Mississippi look clean. It’s a reality that hit me today.…
