God is Faithful

Melissa and I have been praying, praying, praying and praying.  What for you may ask.  For God’s will in our lives.  What does that mean?  It could mean anything.  A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G.  Sometimes to the place that you least expect.

We have had little confirmations along the way which we will have to share if you haven’t heard some of the stories.  Tonight though was very interesting…

A few months ago, our neighbors put their house up for sale.  After we saw this, we had a driveway chat and I mentioned that we were also thinking of putting our house up for sale.  They asked why and yadda, yadda, now they know our story.

Tonight (5/19), they ended up stopping over at our house and asked if we would be interested in renting.  In slow motion, my response, “Random… Umm… maybe… ahhh… sure!”  I guess, someone had called their Realtor asking about renting.  Our neighbors were obviously interested but they found out that the renters budget was $1,200, which would be too low for them.  They remembered that we were thinking about moving and knew our mortgage would be lower then theirs.  They stopped by to ask and give us the information of their realtor to see if the renter would be interested.

This may or may not work out but I cannot help but think how faithful a God we serve.  It’s never fast-food when it comes to God.  It requires patience and continued prayer.

It’s in moments like these that you know God is undeniable with you.  How easy it can be to doubt and to be confused on our journey.  That is why it is so important to remember and have this as a “standing stone”.  Ancient people such as the Israelites would set up standing stones when they would see God’s supernatural acts on their behalf.  It would be a reminder of his faithfulness.
